Curly and wavy hair deserves a routine that actually fits it. Veloura reads your curl pattern from photos and video, then builds the wash day around it — entirely online, wherever you are in the UK.

Discover the Power of Your Natural Curls

Welcome to Veloura

Learning your curls, one wash day at a time

Most people with curly or wavy hair are not short of advice — they are short of advice written for their hair. Tight coils, loose waves and fine high-porosity strands all behave differently, and a routine borrowed from someone else usually ends in frizz or limp roots.

Veloura starts with what your hair is actually doing. You send photos and a short video, dry and wet, plus a questionnaire about your current washing, styling and colour history. From there the routine is built step by step and adjusted as your hair responds.

Cosmetic care, consciously bounded

Curl coaching is a cosmetic hair care service, not a medical one. We do not diagnose or treat scalp conditions or hair loss. If something in your photos suggests a medical concern, we say so and point you to your GP or a dermatologist.

Where texture is the point

Take a deep breath, stop fighting the frizz, and let your own curl pattern do the work.

What we do

Confidence begins with the right curl routine

Four strands of work, each one built from what your hair shows in the photos and video you send. Nothing is sold alongside it, and no single brand is promoted.

How it works

From questionnaire to a routine you can repeat

Four steps, all remote. You never need to be in the same room, and nothing is bought through us.

01 Questionnaire and materials

You fill in a short form about your current washing, what you use, how you dry and your colour history, then send photos and a short video of your hair both dry and wet.

02 Written assessment

Within five working days you receive a PDF: curl pattern, density and porosity, then the routine itself — cleansing, moisture, styling and how often to wash.

03 Sessions along the way

Across four to six weeks there are two or three sessions, by video call or as a written review of new photos, so techniques can be corrected while your hair is still adapting.

04 Final routine

The programme ends with an adjusted routine written up in full, so the wash day keeps working once the coaching stops.

Places are limited so that every programme gets proper reading time. Here is what happens after you write.

  1. We reply with the questionnaire Usually within two working days, along with guidance on photographing your hair.
  2. You choose your dates Weekday evenings and weekend mornings are available for video sessions.
  3. Your routine is written The assessment lands as a PDF and the coaching weeks begin from there.

Curl coaching is cosmetic hair care. We do not diagnose or treat scalp conditions or hair loss; for those, please speak to your GP or a dermatologist.

Wash day went from a guessing game to four steps I can repeat. My waves hold until the third day now.

Programme client · South West

The porosity part explained why everything heavy was sitting on top of my hair instead of soaking in.

Programme client · Scotland

Being able to send a video mid-week and get the diffusing corrected made the difference.

Programme client · North West

No products were sold to me, just categories and what to avoid. I bought two things instead of ten.

Programme client · East Midlands

Growing out years of straightening felt impossible until the stages were written down week by week.

Programme client · London

The night routine alone saved me an entire restyle every morning.

Curl notes

Reading, between wash days

Porosity, and why your conditioner disappears

High porosity hair drinks moisture and loses it just as fast. Knowing where yours sits changes how heavy your products should be and how often you wash.

Water droplets on a strand of curly hair

Refreshing day three curls without a full wash

A spray bottle, a little slip and the right scrunching order will usually bring the pattern back.

Fine mist from a spray bottle settling on curly hair

Plopping: the ten minutes most people skip

How long to keep hair wrapped, what to wrap it in, and why the timing matters more than the towel.
